Connor started racing minimotos in 2004 at the age of 12, in his first season he won the North and Eastern Counties Minimoto junior B Championship. In 2005, he moved up into the Aprilia Superteen series and by the end of his first season he placed 9th in the standings.
2006 saw a massive leap, as he competed in the Aprilia Superteen series and the ACU Star (Formula 125). Gaining a runners-up spot in both series, Connor gained an abundance of wins. In the Superteen he had a terrific run, chalking up no less than 15 race victories - more than anyone else in the series- amid 21 podium finishes.
Of the 7 ACU Star rounds he competed in (1 clashed with the superteen) he had 5 podiums (3 wins, 1 second and 1 third). Connor was voted the Best Young Rider of the Year 2006 (Dunlop Trophy) and added his name to a list that includes legends Mike Hailwood, Jim Redman and Barry Sheene.
For 2007, at only 15 years old, Connor stepped up to compete in the British 125 GP Championship. This was a steep learning curve and he gained invaluable experience at new tracks and with fierce competition. Overall he finished a creditable 7th place in the Dorna Academy Cup, a race for 16 year olds and under.
The 2008 season is almost upon us. Connor will again be competing in the British GP125 Championship, this time with more experience under his belt - his aims are to be up at the front and challenging for the championship.
